Two years ago, Chief Keef shot to fame and immediately, there were people all around the country shouting out GBE. Many people blamed GBE for the spike in violence among teens. Last year, however, there were rumors of Chief Keef ending the GBE movement, as he shifted more focus to Glo Gang.
During the closing weeks of 2013, rumors ran rampant that Chief Keef would eventually shut down GBE. The movement also included Lil Reese, Gino Marley, Fredo Santana, and SD, along with many more. But, each artist seemed more focused on their own movement.
Now, early in 2014, Chief Keef has ended GBE right before their second anniversary of mainstream attention. Once again, Chief Keef is using Twitter as his podium, as he makes his latest announcement. Chief Keef has made it official, GBE is done, and now he can focus more on his membership with 1017 Brick Squad and his record deal with Interscope Records.
