Next year, YG plans to release his debut album, My Krazy Life, and it follows a whirlwind 2013. This year, YG reintroduced himself to the masses with his appearances alongside Young Jeezy. He appeared on Young Jeezy’s “R.I.P.,” on Yo Gotti’s “Act Right,” and featured Jeezy and Rich Homie Quan on “My Hitta.”

In all, YG had a big year and he furthered the Los Angeles takeover on the rap game, so the year was good to him. While there are plenty of people who had tons of gifts, food, and shelter, there are many who don’t have those luxuries. It’s important for those blessed with riches to give back to those less fortunate.

YG took a break from his own Christmas celebration to give back to underprivileged children at the Los Angeles County Group Home. This is the first time YG has done a giveback to the children, but he hopes this is the first of an annual event. Not only did YG give back to the children, but he also released a statement about his gift-giving.

Read YG’s statement below:

“My Christmas shopping experience should be a reminder to all to give back. The children were able to be carefree for a day and not have to face his or her reality.”
