Hopefully nobody thought the grind would stop, never that. It’s Christmas night and hopefully everybody got the present they wanted and had a good time doing whatever it is they do with whoever they do it with. Christmas can always be hectic, but the job goes on.
Hip hop doesn’t take days off for the holidays, instead the culture celebrates along with the rest of the world. Of course, the man who claims he invented the remix also has a Christmas anthem. In 1997, Puff Daddy put out a holiday album called A Very Special Christmas, Vol. 3 with a “Santa Baby” remix included.
Puff Daddy featured Run-DMC, Mase, Salt-N-Pepa, Onyx, and Keith Murray on the 1997 “Santa Baby.” It’s been fifteen years since the “Santa Baby” track was redone and it seemed like the perfect time to bring it back. Christmas came on Wednesday for a reason, so everybody have a Merry Christmas and check back with me next (year) Wednesday to see what comes next.
