The South just doesn’t sound like the South anymore and the hip hop world can thank the good folks in North Carolina for that. It’s not just North Carolina revolutionizing the sound that is “Southern hip hop,” but guys like Chox-Mak are leading the pack. He has dropped nothing but popular tracks now he plans to do something more proper.
Every Monday, Chox-Mak is giving one to his fans with his Mak Attack Mondays. This year, Chox-Mak has done a lot that many people probably didn’t see coming. Now, the only logical step in continuing his run was to do his own weekly series to drop some new music.
Chox-Mak is always thinking about music and always working and this has afforded him the chance to work with Jus Daze for the first time in over a year. Some may remember Chox-Mak appearing on Jus Daze’s Hurricane Sandy relief benefit mixtape last fall. Now, they have come together for a new single, “Yourself.”
