Rappers in Utah really don’t mix, but because it’s Lupe Fiasco, people may think he would get a pass. After all, they hate Obama just as much as he does out there, but he was not met with too much love. Hip hop knows no borders and has impacted almost every region.
Salt Lake City is one of the biggest cities in the United States and is home to an NBA franchise, thus is a hip hop hub. There is a demand for hip hop in Salt Lake City and next up on their bill was Lupe Fiasco, who recently performed. But, there were some hecklers in the crowd.
In the middle of Lupe Fiasco’s performance, someone threw a tomato at him. An obvious sign of disrespect, Lupe Fiasco abruptly ended his show. There was footage of the situation that shows when Lupe Fiasco was hit, which led to him walking off the stage and ending the performance.
