It’s no secret what Rick Ross’ plans are with Maybach Music. Similar to Birdman with his Cash Money Records and Jay-Z with his Roc-A-Fella Records before him, the plan is to build a large and diverse roster with artists from all over. Rick Ross has successfully added Washington, DC, Philadelphia, and Chicago to his movement.
Last summer, Rick Ross also tried to add Los Angeles to Maybach Music. Had he pulled those deals off, Rick Ross truly would’ve been in a boss position. At several periods of time, Rick Ross met with both Nipsey Hussle and Dom Kennedy in hopes of signing with to Maybach Music.
Young California sat down with Rick Ross and they addressed Maybach Music and the planned expansion. They spoke on the West Coast hip hop scene, which Rick Ross obviously has a lot of respect for. Rick Ross is still looking to cement MMG in the area out West.
