Maybach Music is always putting out hot music and they have a deep roster of talent that goes way beyond their Miami base. In New York City, Torch is the main representative of MMG. When Torch talked to Hip Hop Vibe this past spring, he explained how he and Rick Ross met in Miami.

Torch has had a pretty big year in 2013, as he played a big part in the annual MMG album, Self Made 3. In addition to the MMG compilation, Torch released his own solo project, No A/C, Vol. 2 to strong reviews. Boasting features from Styles P and Chinx Drugz, Torch held it down for his city.

Hip Hop Vibe’s DJ Louie Styles and Heavy Dedication TV met Torch in his home borough of The Bronx in front of Yankee Stadium to talk to him. In the interview, Torch talked Self Made 3, No A/C, Vol. 2, and his own debut album. Torch spoke on the MMG family, shouted out Kendrick Lamar for “Control,” and had a unique point.

Torch definitely gave the game some food for thought it regards to tracks like “Control” and delivered a perspective that should serve to put an end to the King of New York debate.
