It’s hard to look at Nelly and not think of his accomplishments. Nelly put St. Louis on the map and he dropped countless classic singles. The early 2000s were nice enough to Nelly for him to never have to work another day in his life, so everything else he has done has only been for expansion.
Thirteen years after Nelly first hit the scene, he is still delivering new music. This year, Nelly has focused on his M.O. album, which marked a musical reunion with his longtime collaborator, Pharrell. Nelly got Pharrell to provide the sound and vocals for his “Get Like Me” single, which also featured Nicki Minaj.
When Nelly talked to Vanessa Dennis, he spoke on STDs, a fact of life when it comes to hip hop artists on the road. STDs happen because some rappers tend to indulge in one night stands. Nelly also talked about the Molly craze, which dominated the entire year last year.
