Chingy speaks on not being a one hit wonder and 2 Chainz’ rise with Forbez DVD [VIDEO]

Ten years ago, Chingy exploded onto the scene with his “Right Thurr” single. Chingy was signed to Ludacris’ DTP Records and working closely with Jermaine Dupri and many other big names. Well into 2004, Chingy continued to have success, featuring Keisha Knight in his music video and working with Janet Jackson.

In the 2003-2006 period, Chingy dropped nothing but hits. However, Chingy returned in 2007 with an album that was very disappointing. Chingy has yet to return with another album since then, so a lot of people have chosen to go back and rewrite history, making him into a one hit wonder.

Forbez DVD caught up with Chingy during his last trip to New York City. In the interview, Chingy talked about not being a one hit wonder, pointing out his other hit singles. There was once a time when Chingy was a bigger artist than Tity Boi and he spoke on his evolution into being 2 Chainz.
