In a span of only two years, Astro has come so far. He first made his mainstream debut when he debuted on FOX’s “The X Factor.” Astro did not win the competition, but he endeared hearts all around the world with his honest ambitions of becoming a rap star.
This week, however, Astro released his street album, Starving Like Marvin For A LL Cool J Song. The album has been out a few days and the fans are loving it so far. Over the past month, Astro has taken the game by storm with his recent Kendrick Lamar response.
The HHV team went over to Barclays Center and met with Astro and they talked about his take on the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. Astro agreed with the people who felt as if hip hop was under-represented, despite the Lil’ Kim tribute. When Miley Cyrus came up, Astro said he didn’t see where she did anything wrong.
Kendrick Lamar put the game on its toes a few weeks ago and Astro was among the people who responded. Astro admitted to going over to Barclays Center during the VMAs and seeing Kendrick Lamar, where he showed him his response record. With his new project out, Astro talked about his Starving Like Marvin For A LL Cool J song, which has him working with Statik Selektah, Easy Moe Bee, and many more.
