Early this year, Wale began making plans for his third studio album, The Gifted. He returned with a unique-sounding song that had a nice guitar string and a new, unorthodox, voice in Tiara Thomas. Bringing something different to the game, “Bad” went on to become one of the biggest hits of the first part of the year.
When Wale began making his media rounds in promotion of the single and the album, he made it clear this was more than a verse. The Washington, DC rapper is focusing on his own movement and he had plans of signing Tiara Thomas. But, a few months later, she signed another deal and Rihanna was on the “Bad” remix.
In several interviews, Wale has said Tiara Thomas somewhat played him, but there are no hard feelings. For the first time, Tiara Thomas is setting the record straight with an interview of her own. Tiara Thomas sat down with Vlad TV and she spoke on the situation with Wale and being “replaced” by Rihanna.
