One of the closest people to Jay-Z is Swizz Beatz, who helped him transition from being simply another New York rapper to the presence he is. In 1998, Jay-Z had a breakout year and Swizz Beatz played a big part, producing “Money, Cash, Hoes,” featuring DMX.
Although Jay-Z later remixed it, adding his Roc-A-Fella Records roster to the song, most fans appreciate the original. Either way, Jay-Z keeps Swizz Beatz around and they have continued working together. Back in 2009, they came together for the hit single, “On To The Next One.”
