Petition created to name Brooklyn street corner after The Notorious B.I.G.

From ashy to classy, The Notorious B.I.G. transformed the idea of hip hop when he emerged back in the early 1990s. Before he could fully realize his potential, B.I.G. was brutally murdered. Much emphasis has been placed on his death, mostly because his murder remains unsolved.

But, let’s not forget the wonderful life that this man lived and where it started at. There is a reason for all the Brooklyn celebrations and why the hip hop scene across the bridge was just celebrated. The Notorious B.I.G. will always be the king of Brooklyn and a petition is making sure of that.

Recently, a petition was created to change the street corner of St James Place and Fulton Street to Christopher Wallace Way. This is where The Notorious B.I.G. grew up and his interest in rap began. With a goal of 500 signatures, 441 have already been signed, so the goal is close.
