This story really isn’t hip hop, but for all the people who grew up in the early 2000s, they know all about this guy. For those who don’t, Lee Thompson Young is better known to the current generation as Jett Jackson. “The Famous Jett Jackson” ran from 1998 through 2001 on Disney Channel and spawned a movie.
The series starred Lee Thompson Young as Jett Jackson, a popular actor of the action character, Silverstone. He relocates from California to North Carolina to live with his father and grandmother, bringing his show along with him. Here, Jett Jackson battles being a celebrity and a teenage boy.
Unfortunately, it turns out Lee Thompson Young will always be known for his role as Jett Jackson. Earlier today, according to the reports, Lee Thompson Young died. Young is currently starring in the TNT law drama, “Rizzoli & Isles,” and when he didn’t show up for work, a search was placed and he was found dead in his home.
Rumor has it Lee Thompson Young died from an apparent suicide.
