Dru Down featured on MSNBC’s “Lockup” [VIDEO]

Legendary Oakland emcee, Dru Down, was sentenced to prison, a few years ago. He has songs out with all of the fellow Oakland legends and is a member of The Regime with Yukmouth, Messy Marv, and many more. Over the course of seventeen years, Dru Down released nine albums.

Since Dru Down has been in prison, there have been quite a few people who have forgotten about the legend that this man is. His legal issues have had him in a world of trouble over the past few years. Paying off his debt to society, Dru Down had a big platform to tell his story when MSNBC reached out to him.

MSNBC featured Dru Down on a recent episode of their “Lockup.” In this episode, which is about being held in protective custody, Dru Down spoke about his time behind bars. With the recent focus back on Dru Down, it brings back to light the career he has had.
