Out of thin air, this beef between Meek Mill and Gillie Da Kid has become the biggest topic of the week. A series of subliminal tweets from Meek Mill about the “king of Philly” title has gotten people thinking he is going after Gillie Da Kid. This comes as a surprise to most since Meek Mill appeared on King of Philly 2.
When it comes to the rap game, nothing should come as a surprise. Despite everyone talking about being upfront and honest, a lot of “he said, she said” goes on and it leads to rants on Twitter. In actuality, there was probably nothing out of the way said, but perception is everything.
Gillie Da Kid has definitely taken the situation and gotten on the offensive, hitting Meek Mill several times. Already, Gillie Da Kid released the “King Me” track, which many think is a diss record, but it is not the case. Explaining the song, Gillie Da Kid said the song has been recorded for months, but said he and not Meek is king.
