Last summer, it was announced that Andre 3000 would play Jimi Hendrix in a biopic about the legendary musician. Filming started in Ireland and over the past year, the movie has been put together and now the final touches are being put together. As the film nears completion, more behind the scenes content has been released.
Andre 3000, has maintained a minor presence in the rap game, but his focus has been on All is By My Side. The film has Andre 3000 playing Jimi Hendrix and will detail the accounts of his life over film. Outkast’s other half has received a lot of comparisons over the years to Jimi Hendrix, which made him the perfect casting choice.
With All is By My Side due in September, stills from the film are leaking to the internet. The latest of these stills is of Andre 3000 and from the looks of things, he is deep into the character of Jimi Hendrix. This is definitely a film for all the music enthusiasts to check out.
