In the words of Jay-Z, “I thought it was America people.” Jay-Z spoke of being “guilty until proven innocent,” but George Zimmerman was found guilty. However, he now was released after murdering a child. Trayvon Martin had his whole life ahead of him, but that was robbed from him.
George Zimmerman has become a pariah in the eyes of the hip hop community. This topic is not a hip hop topic, but it is not a stretch to believe Trayvon Martin was a hip hop fan. Lil’ Scrappy and Rick Ross have both referenced him in their lyrics and how he is frowned upon within the community.
Despite murdering Trayvon Martin in cold blood, minutes ago George Zimmerman was found not guilty on all charges. Not guilty on every single count, as Nancy Grace just stated, Zimmerman is a free man. Hearts are heavy and prayers go out to the Martin family.
