Another week has gone by, another round of mixtapes have come through. As expected, this week was a bit slower because of the 4th of July. Ain’t nobody really got time for the internet when everybody’s at the beach. So, this week was a slow week, but a big one at the same time.
In Chicago, there’s a rising movement that is a lot deeper than a lot of people think. A lot of submissions come through to Radio Invasion and a good number of the artists happen to be from Chicago. One artist making his way through the hectic Chicago hip hop scene is Jahzel.
This past week, Jahzel released In God’s Image and he interviewed with Hip Hop Vibe about the project. Put together like an album, Jahzel put out a strong independent project, but he chose to drop it as a mixtape. It was a highly dope project that came during a week when virtually no other mixtapes dropped.
Every Friday, Radio Invasion takes over Hip Hop Vibe for the Mixtape of the Week and it has to be Jahzel with In God’s Image this week.
