Interscope Records has stayed at the forefront of hip hop because of their ear for talent and their embrace of West Coast hip hop artists. One of their new focuses is on Compton talent, Kendrick Lamar. In 2012, they signed Kendrick Lamar and his label-mates over at the Top Dawg label.
Kendrick Lamar is the new focus of Dr. Dre, who placed the TDE movement under his own label, Aftermath Entertainment. Over the years, Dr. Dre has worked with and molded many of the biggest names in the game. Before Kendrick Lamar, Eminem was his focus and he has been involved with every star since then.
Recently, MTV News caught up with Kendrick Lamar and they talked to him about meeting Eminem and working with him. The TDE crew uploaded a photo of themselves in the studio with Eminem to Instagram. Kendrick Lamar talked to MTV News about this experience.
