A new era of hip hop in Detroit was ushered in when Big Sean rose to the forefront of the game. Six years ago, Big Sean met Kanye West and soon signed with G.O.O.D. Music, witnessing the label rising to prominence. By 2011, Big Sean was the biggest star on the label, holding it down.
Big Sean has since gone on to become the biggest Detroit star since Eminem, who he is working with on his new album. Currently, Big Sean is working on finishing up his sophomore album, Hall of Fame, which is due later this year. In the meantime, he is leaking singles.
Via Instagram, a few weeks ago, Big Sean released a photo of an unfinished mural of himself in Detroit. Now, three weeks later, the official mural has been painted by a fan for the world to see. The mural includes photos from many of the biggest rappers in the game.
