Young Money took over the game back in 2010, as the other members in the crew were given a chance to shine. Among the artists signed to the label in 2010 was Cory Gunz, a then-rising emcee from New York City. Lil Wayne placed Cory Gunz on the first single off his album, Tha Carter IV, “6 Foot 7 Foot.”
Many assumed Cory Gunz would become the focal point of Young Money after the release of “6 Foot 7 Foot.” During an interview, Lil Wayne said this would not be the case with Cory Gunz. Instead, he said Cory Gunz would build his own buzz when the timing was right.
Cory Gunz is making his buzz build, like many of the other Young Money artists who have built success. Currently, Cory Gunz is working on his new mixtape, which is called Datz WTF I’m Talkin Bout. Today, Cory Gunz released the cover for the mixtape and the official trailer.
