HHV Reflections: A Look Back on the Life of Stack Bundles

Stack BundlesBy DJ YRS Jerzy
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer

June 11 is always a day when hearts are heavy for New York hip hop fans. A fan of hip hop in New York is not as big of a fan as they claim they are if they do not know about the work of Stack Bundles. Before he was cruelly murdered, Stack Bundles was going to be the man to put New York City back on the map.

Six years ago, today, the world as known to man had his life ended way too soon and to be honest, we all still miss Rayquon Elliott. Born on October 21, 1982, the future was bright for Stack Bundles. He had people in his corner who saw his vision and a younger brother, Yung Stack, who is continuing it.

The Riot Squad produced Chinx Drugz, who is finding success as a Coke Boy member, alongside French Montana. Meanwhile, the Riot Squad is doing well with their projects being worked on. Young Riot Squad is making their stamp in the game and it is represented with every move made over here, as it is a part of my DJ name.

Stack Bundles showed a lot of the rappers today how to grind. He teamed up with DJ Clue and he began releasing a series of mixtapes and he worked with a lot of the people who are making big moves now. Jim Jones ended up working with Stack Bundles and made him a part of Byrd Gang in 2006. The year of 2007 was when Stack Bundles was going to make his move toward mainstream success, but in the end, it did not happen.

Physically, Stack Bundles is gone and nothing can change that. But, do not think for one minute that him or his accomplishments will be forgotten. The supporters of Stack Bundles’ memory care too much to ever let that happen. So, today in honor of Stack Bundles and his dream, Hip Hop Vibe has included his documentary and some of his songs for the people to enjoy. Rest in peace, Rayquon “Stack Bundles” Elliott, hope to see you on the other side.
