Since 2009, Jadakiss has talked about his Top 5 Dead or Alive album and it has been awaited since 2010. Label politics have led to several delays for this album, but it now sounds as if Jadakiss is ready to release his album. Along with this new project, there are several collaborations in the works.
The last time the world heard anything from Jadakiss, he was pushing his Consignment mixtape. Wanting to release his album in 2012, Jadakiss had nothing scheduled, so he dropped his album. Jadakiss said the fans really should have paid him for his work, but he decided to give it to them on “consignment.”
However, the next album is due and it will not be a freebie. Top 5 Dead or Alive is due to be released at the end of the summer, early in the fall. Jadakiss has continued his media rounds and he recently talked to VIBE about his new album and he announced an upcoming collaborative project with Yo Gotti.
Regarding collaborations, Jadakiss revealed his album features appearances from Wiz Khalifa, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, and J. Cole.
