Last year, Peter Rosenberg received backlash and was viewed as the man who partially ruined Summer Jam 2012. Calling Nicki Minaj out, Peter Rosenberg led to the whole Young Money pulling out of the show and a yearlong beef. Nicki Minaj recently returned to Hot 97, burying the beef.
Nicki Minaj performed at Hot 97 Summer Jam 2013. However, everyone expected to see her performing at the show. Someone who was unexpected was Papoose, who came out after Kendrick Lamar’s set. Many questioned how Papoose got on the stage, including program director, Ebro Darden.
There were a lot of questions and Ebro Darden received his answers live on air when he talked to Peter Rosenberg. Briefly, Peter Rosenberg explained how he, TDE, DJ Kay Slay, and Papoose talked about doing the set. Hot 97 then played the “Get At Me” single with Ron Browz by Papoose.
