It was a long journey before Kanye West landed with Roc-A-Fella Records, became the “little brother” of Jay-Z, and then took over with G.O.O.D. Music. There was a period of time when Kanye West flirted with the idea of joining Cash Money Records. If this wound up happening, more than likely G.O.O.D. Music would have been under YMCMB too.
While that was a possibility, then again it might not have been. Mannie Fresh, at the time, was the force behind Cash Money Records. But, Mannie Fresh departed the label after the headliners, Juvenile, B.G., and Turk, left the label. With Cash Money Records at rock bottom, Lil Wayne turned things around and there is no love lost with Mannie Fresh.
Mannie Fresh has been in the headlines, as of late. There is a lot of stuff going on with the former label, Cash Money Records. With all the new moves, many could not help but ask about Mannie Fresh. Vlad TV caught up with him, but they changed directions and spoke on his work with Kanye West early on.
