One of hip hop’s biggest mysteries of 2013 has been whether or not Kanye West will release a new solo album. Since 2011, Kanye West has promised a new solo album. No solo album has come, but Kanye West remained close to his fans through two joint projects, 2011’s Watch the Throne with Jay-Z, and 2012’s Cruel Summer.
Introducing his G.O.O.D. Music label, Kanye West is now refocused on his career and is focusing on his growing family. Going from constantly fighting rumors, Kanye West can now safely call Kim Kardashian his girlfriend. The recently divorced reality television show starlet is pregnant with Kanye West’s first child.
Of course, the stories about Kanye West and Kim Kardashian dominate headlines. But, hip hop is still primarily concerned about Kanye’s next album. On Twitter, many of the biggest journalists in hip hop, including Elliott Wilson, tweeted about hearing the new album from Kanye West.
