DJ Junior’s Artists to Know (NYC Edition): Yung Joey

Yung JoeyBy DJ Junior
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer

As promised last night, here is Artists to Know (NYC Edition). It was fitting to start within the camp for Artists to Know (NYC Edition). Many only think of the South when they think about Brick Squad, but the movement is all over the country. A strong hub for the movement is New York City, especially in Queens.

Out of all the New York rappers making noise, Yung Joey seems to be the most overlooked out of them. But, Yung Joey has had a major impact on the game over the past year and a few months through his releases. Yung Joey released his Along Came Molly mixtape last summer and is still riding the success.

In addition to his own position within Brick Squad, Yung Joey is a rising figure on the hip hop scene within New York. Of course, among many more, Yung Joey has collaborations with the likes of Fred The Godson and Chinx Drugz. On the streets, Yung Joey is a favorite among the fans.
