Releasing music on the internet was virtually unheard of before Soulja Boy made it big off his MySpace profile. Since then, several hip hop websites geared to service artists releasing music have emerged. Artists are still getting big off the internet, but it is expected now instead of being a surprise.
Being rich since the age of sixteen does leave one without a challenge. Soulja Boy was self-made before he turned eighteen years old. Interscope Records snagged Soulja Boy up in 2007, but the deal appears to be over now, though Soulja says different. Seeing how Soulja Boy appears with Birdman, there are rumors of a YMCMB deal.
Soulja Boy is currently working on his King Soulja mixtape. There are several mixtapes coming from Soulja Boy. Foreign and Foreign 2 did well for him and U$A Dre is still looming. But, in the meantime, King Soulja will be released and Soulja Boy released the official deluxe cover this morning on Twitter.
