A representation of what America’s laziness is comes in the form of Tyler, the Creator and Odd Future. The crew is very rebellious, yet very successful through being themselves. Independently, Tyler, the Creator has released three highly-successful albums.
Currently, many would say Tyler, the Creator is at the peak of his career. Wolf is his highest-profile album and it is regarded as a classic. Buzz is definitely picking up for Tyler, the Creator, as he recently did a commercial with Mountain Dew, which was met with much criticism.
Recently, Dr. Boyce Watkins released a blog and he spoke on Tyler, the Creator’s commercial, calling it highly-racist. But, with Rick Ross losing his sponsorship, Tyler, the Creator also lost his. Mountain Dew released a statement saying they did not intend to offend anyone with their commercial and have pulled it.
Odd Future’s co-manager recently released a statement and he said the commercial was never meant to be taken seriously.
