Hard to imagine, but it has been ten years since Pharrell released “Frontin.” Though he looked boyish, Pharrell was thirty when the song dropped. With Jay-Z set to retire, he ended his career with a bang. Ironically, in recent years, Jay-Z has been the active one while Pharrell seemed retired.
This year, all of this has changed though, Pharrell has been back and working with the usual suspects, along with a new crop of talent. T.I. and Jay-Z consist of the usual suspects, while ScHoolboy Q and Kendrick Lamar represent the new crop of talent. The year appears to have the makings of a major one for Pharrell.
In New York City, Pharrell talked to DJ Enuff on Hot 97’s “The Angie Martinez Show” about some of his upcoming work. Still looking youthful, Pharrell gave skin care tips and talked about being in a committed relationship. Pharrell also talked about his upcoming work, including Jay-Z’s rumored next album.
