Different from the last renaissance of New York hip hop, the veterans continue to play a major part in the scene. Many felt New York hip hop went stagnant because the veterans would not step to the side. But, the success of Styles P and the other veterans have proven there is more than enough room for everyone.
Styles P ambushed the game with his Float album, which is a collaborative effort between him and producer, Scram Jones. Outside of his own music, Styles P also made a guest appearance on Tahiry Jose’s “Devil” remix with Uncle Murda. All of this has helped put Styles P back in the public eye.
Delivering one of the best releases, so far, of 2013 with Float, Styles P was in New York City this morning. Sitting down with “The Breakfast Club” trio of DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God for Power 105.1, Styles P spoke on a lot. He talked about his music, The L.O.X.’s chances of putting out a new album, working with Tahiry Jose, and more.
