The last time Eve came this close to releasing an album, the year was 2007. But, the last time Eve released a new album, George W. Bush was in the first term of his presidency. It has been eleven years and Eve did quite a bit in the interim. Now, however, Eve is back and she is ready to go.
Lip Lock is the name of Eve’s upcoming album, which is due on May 7. Since she last released an album, quite a bit has changed in the game. Hip hop’s current landscape boasts such stars as Rick Ross, Future, 2 Chainz, and Kendrick Lamar. When Eve last had her run, Ja Rule was still the biggest rapper on the planet and they toured.
Things change, as do the people, and Eve is back. Eve recently sat down with Rap-Up.com for an interview where she updated them on Lip Lock. Coming up next for Eve is her self-titled single. In the interview, she also joined Kid Cudi, Meek Mill, and Ace Hood as rappers being asked about Rick Ross’ situation.
