Though he has major label backing, Tyga has never received a dime from Cash Money Records, as he told Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club.” But, this has not stopped him from continuing to be a member of the brand. Regardless, Tyga’s success has made a happy man out of Birdman.
Cash Money Records has a big year in store, as Lil Wayne and Tyga have already released albums with Ace Hood, Nicki Minaj, DJ Khaled, Drake, and Limp Bizkit also due to drop albums. In the meantime, however, Tyga is the focus of the label. Releasing Hotel California last week, Tyga is making his media rounds.
Tyga continued his press run when he stopped by DJ Whoo Kid’s show on Shade 45 to continue his talk. Reebok recently dropped Rick Ross, who appears on Tyga’s album, but they kept him as a client. Always supporting Rick Ross, Tyga spoke on this, being a father, Lil Wayne’s health issues, and much more.
