Though the world may not be familiar with Harvard Street, this will not be the case once popular Desert Storm Radio personality, Preemo, is done. Harvard Street is a native of the state of Michigan and is a member of Michigan Affiliates. Preemo hosted the latest Harvard Street mixtape, CDs and Cassette Tapes.

When he decided to do his mixtape, Harvard Street decided to take it back to hip hop’s golden era. As he told Preemo in his interview with Desert Storm Radio, Harvard Street only included music from the 1990s and early 200s. Harvard Street is a fan of that era and he wants to bring it back, a bit.

On the mixtape, Harvard Street easily gains comparisons to Wale, yet manages to create a style all of his own. Starting the mixtape off with a nod to the 2 Live Crew, Harvard Street showed off his lyrical range. Harvard Street brought in the international appeal with Preemo.

Standout tracks on the mixtape include his “Hoochie Mama” track, his “One in a Million” tribute to Aaliyah, his remake of Juvenile’s “Ha,” his freestyle of Nas’ “Ether,” and also his freestyle of Game’s “Red Bandanna ” Other tracks on the mixtape come on instrumentals from DMX, Young Jeezy, and many others.

For all of those “stuck in the 90s niggas,” Harvard Street’s CDs and Casette Tapes (The Golden Era) mixtape is definitely for them.
