Mixtape success has always been enough for Yo Gotti, but he has always had dreams of having success on the mainstream. But, handling his own business affairs for well over a decade, Yo Gotti knows the ins and outs of the business. This has led to Yo Gotti turning down several deals from major labels, but recently he found the right deal.

Holding meetings with L.A. Reid, Yo Gotti entered a joint venture deal with Epic Records for his subsidiary, CMG. Yo Gotti has high hopes for the deal, as it will be an outlet for the entire roster of his label, including Zed Zilla. With several mixtapes and street albums under his belt, Yo Gotti is preparing his debut album.

Last week, Yo Gotti made the announcement that he would be headed down to Austin, Texas for the SXSW 2013 festival. While in Texas, Yo Gotti has performed at several shows. Following one of his shows, Yo Gotti sat down for an interview and he was asked about his upcoming album and he revealed the title was I Am.
