In order to move forward, knowing where one has been is essential. Longtime Hip Hop Vibe followers may remember the Artists to Know section from the summer of 2010. A choice was made to revive this because there are many more artists who deserve more attention and it is the job of the DJ to break these artists.
Call him Smokey Bear, call him Yung Tay, either way, it is the same person who is being referred to. Regardless of his name, this artist’s reputation precedes himself, as he has been there and done that when it comes to most. Smokey Bear has been on television and won BET’s “106 & Park” on their Wild Out Wednesday segment, twice.
Videos, not just music videos, are essential in artists getting themselves known. Visuals that show everything an artist is doing helps them get their name out there. Smokey Bear has his “Kush Camper Chronicles” where he allows fans to keep up with him. Included in this post are two of these promotional videos from Smokey Bear.
