Ab-Soul talks major label debut with Vlad TV [VIDEO]

Black Hippy and Top Dawg Entertainment does not wait around for major label backing to release their albums. Heavy on the Los Angeles mixtape scene, the members of this movement have also put out independent albums. Before major label deal with powerhouse, Interscope Records, ScHoolboy Q released a new project.

Once Dr. Dre began working with Kendrick Lamar, post Section.80, the crew knew a major change was taking place. Immediately, Kendrick Lamar began working on his official debut album. His 2011 album was met with critical acclaim and much more came with good kid, m.A.A.d. city.

Last summer, Ab-Soul released his Control System album. But, Ab-Soul has yet to release an official Interscope album. Ab-Soul talked to Vlad TV and he said Control System would have to hold fans over for a while. With ScHoolboy Q up next, regarding a debut album, with Ab-Soul coming out later.
