Asher Roth talks new album, social media, and more at SXSW 2013 [VIDEO]

There are a lot of projects in the works for Asher Roth. Building a close relationship with record executive, Steve Rifkind, he followed him from SRC Records to the revived version of his original label, Loud Records. Back in 2011, Steve Rifkind entered a joint venture deal with Def Jam for his Loud Records.

Initially due in 2010 was Asher Roth’s sophomore album. Following the release of his 2009 debut, Asleep in the Bread Aisle, Asher Roth planned to release his next album. The album initially was set to be released in 2010, but has been delayed throughout 2010, 2011, and 2012, but Asher Roth plans to release the album in 2013.

In the meantime, Asher Roth ventured to Austin, Texas for SXSW 2013. Performing in many of the showcases, Asher Roth took time out to speak to the media. During his recent interview, Asher Roth talked about his upcoming album, the importance of social media, and much more.
