Left and right, Soulja Boy has been releasing song after song. Since 2010, when he made a strong showing, Soulja Boy has remained relatively quiet. An end to this silence began late in 2012 and has continued in the first three months of 2013. Soulja Boy released a message to everyone who feels as though he has fallen off, reminding them he remains a force in the game.
Rumors have Soulja Boy no longer on the roster of Interscope Records. Without going into specifics, Soulja Boy made it clear he has an arrangement with the powerhouse label. Instead of a typical artist deal, Soulja Boy has a partnership with the label based on the success of his singles. It sounds as if he submits a strong enough single, an album would follow.
Recently, Soulja Boy has been spending a lot of time with Lil Wayne and Drake. It may mean some new music in the works, but Birdman is hinting to it meaning much more. Soulja Boy recently got “Rich Gang” tattooed on his face, which is Birdman’s new movement. Birdman also took to his Twitter to hint at a potential deal with Soulja Boy.
