During the “little big man” era of NBA basketball, Steve Francis became one of the biggest stars in the basketball world. Known for his aggressive play, Steve Francis was very entertaining to watch. Steve Francis retired from the NBA in 2008 and has since focused his attention on giving back.

Growing up in Maryland, Steve Francis did not have access to the things he does not. Not forgetting where he came from, Steve Francis understands doors were opened for him and he is now in a position to do the same. Steve Francis is doing this through his grassroots campaign, the Steve Francis Foundation.

Much more than sports, the Steve Francis Foundation focuses highly on education and includes seminars on how to receive financial aid grants. The Steve Francis Foundation also gives out annual scholarships. A well-known public figure, Steve Francis has since used his image to give back in countless areas between Houston and Washington, DC.

Known for his charitable donations, Steve Francis is using his profile for various ventures. Mazerati Music is a record label which is owned by Steve Francis. A native of the DMV area, Steve Francis is also helping put their hip hop scene on the map, along with 1017 Brick Squad DJ, DJ Junior. Other business ventures from Steve Francis include a construction company, a clothing line, and also a barber shop.
