Close to one year ago, Sir Michael Rocks appeared to be the next Chicago artist to rise to fame. Initially, a member of The Cool Kids, Sir Michael Rocks went solo and began making moves in 2011. Coming into 2012, Sir Michael Rocks appeared to be one of the biggest new artist from the city.

Instead, Sir Michael Rocks ended up being overlooked by Chief Keef, who represented a different brand of Chicago hip hop. Meanwhile, Sir Michael Rocks continued to make major moves, taking in a studio session with Billionaire Boyscout. Sir Michael Rocks is working on Banco, joining Rockie Fresh and King Louie in releasing new Chicago music.

Sir Michael Rocks recently performed in Seattle. Back stage, Sermon’s Domain talked to the “cool kid.” Getting right into things, Sir Michael Rocks spoke on getting Harry Fraud and Hit-Boy on his new project. During the interview, he also explained why he will not include “Money Came” on the tape.
