Rick Ross reasoned more time to record for the Trilla delay. When Rick Ross returned, he dropped one of 2008’s biggest hit singles. Establishing himself as a star in the game, Rick Ross featured T-Pain at the height of his success on “The Boss.” The song immediately became an them.

“The Boss” featured a futuristic beat, smooth lyrics from Rick Ross, and an auto-tune laced hook from T-Pain. Snoop, from “The Wire,” is featured in the music video for “The Boss.” While there were no samples, parts of the music video sample The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Warning” and the video is considered by some as a 2008 version.
