Under much controversy, MTV released their full list of “Hottest MCs in the Game.” In the end, Kendrick Lamar topped the list. Accomplishing its goal, MTV captured the attention of the hip hop world through it’s “Hottest MCs in the Game” list. Several rappers spoke out against the list, including A$AP Rocky and Kanye West.
Fans also questioned why the list turned out the way it did. Many of 2012’s biggest artists were not even mentioned on the countdown. One name noticeably missing was Pusha T, the veteran of G.O.O.D. Music. Though he only released music through Cruel Summer, few artists had the impact on 2012 as Pusha T.
Out in London, Pusha T made his way over to DJ Semtex’s BBC Radio show. With all of the craze in the United States being about MTV’s “Hottest MCs in the Game,” Pusha T was asked his thoughts on the competition. Kanye West already called Sway out for placing him lowly on the list and for Lil Wayne not topping the list, as many know, Pusha T has nothing to say about Lil Wayne, but he did give his thoughts.
