An album can only face so many delays before the world gives up on it. In 2011, a bidding war built over French Montana and Bad Boy Records ultimately won. Fans expected Excuse My French to be released in the summer. Instead, French Montana has faced delays well into the spring of 2013.
Serious about releasing his upcoming album, French Montana had to come out strong to regain his momentum. Understanding this would be a task, French Montana turned to fellow New York native, Nicki Minaj, for his “Freaks” single. Known for her sexually explicit songs, Nicki Minaj was exactly what French Montana needed.
Yesterday, after several topless photos of Nicki Minaj leaked to the internet, “Freaks'” official music video was released. Though the video has only been out one day, French Montana has done several interviews talking about it. The fact the video has been discussed for over a month and the obvious makes “Freaks” Hip Hop Vibe’s Video of the Week.
