Lyricism is a dynamic originally given to East Coast rappers. But, on this “New West” movement primarily based in Los Angeles, the same can be said for this crop of new artists. Many of these emcees, including Casey Veggies, pride themselves in being the most-lyrical rappers out.
While showing their lyrical range, the “New West” emcees have been able to rock all types of tracks. Kendrick Lamar has appeared on tracks with Game, 2 Chainz, Drake, remaining himself on all the tracks. The same can be said for Casey Veggies who has several rap collaborations under his belt and even a track with The Kickdrums.
Last night, Casey Veggies spoke of another collaboration fans would possibly be surprised by. Juicy J had a strong comeback in 2012 and plans to release his new album later this year. When Casey Veggies hopped on Twitter, he announced he and Juicy J had just gotten off the phone and a collaboration was definitely happening.
