Inspiring and controversial, Soulja Boy helped lead the shift of hip hop over to the internet. Before he had a record deal, Soulja Boy released a series of songs and albums through the internet. Soulja Boy also established his SODMG company though these internet sales before catching the attention of Interscope Records.
At the height of his popularity, Soulja Boy took a break from recording albums and began doing mixtapes. During this period of time, Soulja Boy ended up working closely with, among others, Gucci Mane. Because of what he did to the game and, at such a young age, many of Soulja Boy’s rap elders respect him.
Yesterday, Soulja Boy released a vlog of him hiking in Canyon Park in Los Angeles. In this vlog, the world sees Soulja Boy interacting with Game, his Interscope label-mate, and also LaLa Anthony. Earlier today, Soulja Boy released his Foreign mixtape and has his U$A Dre tape is still due.
