The hip hop scene in the DMV is rapidly-growing and there has been a lot of attention given to artists such as Wale, Fat Trel, and Rolls Royce Rizzy. However, long before these artists were even mentioned, let alone famous, Pusha T was doing his thing. Pusha T, along with his older brother, No Malice, as The Clipse set the game on fire.
There has been no doubting Kanye West’s ability as an artist. But, until 2011, there was not much to say when G.O.O.D. Music was mentioned. Seeing how not many felt Pusha T would cut it as a solo artist, his deal with G.O.O.D. was overlooked. However, Kanye West proved he could carry Jay-Z’s torch in more ways than one when he took G.O.O.D. Music to the top.
Wrath of Caine was Pusha T’s mixtape before My Name is My Name, his debut album, is released. Pusha T stopped by ThisIs50.com to talk to Young Jack Thriller about the title of his mixtape. During the interview, Pusha T revealed the title was inspired by the legendary rapper, Big Daddy Kane and also talked about Kim Kardashian.
