During the first few months of 2012, Kirko Bangz was the biggest new artist out. A native of the city of Houston, Kirko Bangz rode the success of his “Drank in My Cup” single. During this period of time, Kirko Bangz managed to break out of the “one hit wonder” title with a second hit, “That Pole.”
On the “That Pole” single, Kirko Bangz rapped about a girl who had “Kirko” tattooed on her booty. In a short period of time, Kirko Bangz grew a large and devoted fan base. Kirko Bangz took the “Drank in My Cup” single all over the United States. Among the people featured on one of his remixes was J. Cole.
Kirko Bangz talked to Vlad TV recently and he opened up about this line. “That Pole” ultimately was overlooked due to his other single. However, the line was memorable and it led to many questioning if a girl really tattooed Kirko on her booty. During the interview, this is explained.
