Clearly, it is a new day in hip hop, as the generation born in the era of technology are now adults and dominating the rap game. When many of the older rappers were born and grew up, they knew little about the world outside of hip hop. But, through the internet and cable television, the new generation is more rounded.
A$AP Rocky has openly discussed his interest in all forms of hip hop, being heavily-influenced by the South. Rocky also has a crush on Kathy Griffin, which he admitted and it led to him meeting her. Appearing on her comedy show, Kathy Griffin invited Rocky and Danny Brown to “get in on the action.”
However, this left Los Angeles rapper, ScHoolboy Q, feeling a bit left out. Disappointed about not being included, ScHoolboy Q called Kathy Griffin out, saying he no longer had interest in hooking up with her. Kathy Griffin would respond to ScHoolboy Q, also inviting him “in on the action.”
